Psychotherapy for those who are struggling

When I met Dr. Brooks and he explained what and how he works with colored lights along with headsets that beep. Needless to say I had my doubts for my issues were extremely hard to face. To my suprise he was able to help me deal with all that happen. My biggest suprise is when working on me to stop smoking I really didn't think that after 46yrs I'd never stop. Well it finally happened. I QUIT SMOKING. My children are so proud. Dr. Brooks help save my life and I can't thank him enough. My life at 60yrs old has been one of the best feelings I could ever ask for. I'm so sad at the end of this month he will be retireing. I'm bless that I had the opportunity to meet a wonderful Dr. I hope he goes part time and able to help other patients. Dr. Brooks thank you for helping me and the laughter. YOU GAVE ME BACK MY LIFE.

"Dr. David Brooks is an excellent Psychologist in my opinion. He has provided me much assistance in coping with multiple traumatic life experience and I feel privileged to have been able to be treated by Dr. Brooks. I have suffered some early life trauma and much more trauma related to my military experience. Dr. Brooks provides trauma desensitization using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). With EMDR, I move my eyes back and forth following lights, which relaxes me and has proven to dramatically reduce my upset from traumatic life stimuli. I am also a brain injury survivor and Dr. Brooks has given me assistance in better understanding and coping with my brain functioning changes, as he happens to be a very knowledgeable board certified Neuropsychologist.
