This policy describes what information the Dakota Trauma Therapy website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only, not to the care Dr. Brooks provides in practice, which is governed by separate clinical privacy obligations.
Information you send us
The contact form asks for your name, email address, phone number (optional), and a message. This information is delivered to the practice by email so we can respond to you, and is not used for marketing or shared with anyone else. Submissions are processed by Cloudflare, our website infrastructure provider, which also applies spam protection and rate limiting.
Please do not include detailed health information in the contact form. The form and email are appropriate for scheduling and general questions, but they are not a secure clinical channel, and contacting us through this website does not create a therapist–client relationship.
Information collected automatically
We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). These tools set cookies and process data under Google's privacy policy. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and requested pages) for security and performance.
Some pages embed third-party content: YouTube videos (served in privacy-enhanced mode, which limits tracking until you press play) and Google Maps on the contact page. Interacting with those embeds is subject to the third party's own policies.
What we don't do
We do not sell your information, run advertising on this site, or use the contact form contents for anything other than responding to you.
Retention and your choices
Contact-form emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any follow-up. You can browse the site with cookies disabled or with a browser extension that blocks analytics; the site works without them. To ask what information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, contact us using the details below.
